The person came before the words. It was the first time I said what I felt, in Korean.
단어가 아니라 사람이 먼저 들어왔어요. 처음으로 한국어로 제 감정을 말했습니다.
We studied grammar and prepared for the test — but what stayed was my own voice in Korean.
문법도 배우고 시험도 준비했는데, 남은 건 한국어로 말하는 제 목소리였어요.
I don't remember memorizing grammar. One day it just came out of my mouth.
